The Dicastery for the Eastern Churches oversees all aspects of Eastern Rite formation within the Vatican. The Dicastery educates seminarians who are studying to become an Eastern Rite cleric, gives instructions on the Eastern liturgy, and handles requests of Latin Rite clerics who wish to obtain faculties to celebrate the Byzantine Divine Liturgy.
