The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul is the mother church of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, located on Logan Square in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Constructed between 1846 and 1864, it was designed in a Renaissance Revival style inspired by the churches of northern Italy, with its striking copper dome becoming one of Philadelphia's most recognisable landmarks.
Dedicated to Saints Peter and Paul, the cathedral serves as the seat of the Archbishop of Philadelphia and hosts many of the archdiocese's most important liturgical celebrations, including ordinations, Chrism Masses, and major diocesan feasts. The cathedral is renowned for its richly decorated sanctuary, magnificent stained-glass windows, grand pipe organ, and the Shrine of Saint Katharine Drexel, whose remains are enshrined within the cathedral.
The Cathedral Basilica gained international recognition during the World Meeting of Families in 2015, when Pope Francis celebrated Mass there during his Apostolic Visit to the United States. Today, it continues to serve as both a vibrant parish church and the spiritual centre of Catholic life in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Our recreation of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul faithfully reflects the architectural beauty and liturgical significance of Philadelphia's cathedral church. As the seat of the Apostolic Vicariate of the Americas within Vatican Roblox, it serves as the principal church for diocesan liturgies, episcopal celebrations, ordinations, and other major events, providing a reverent setting for the worship of God and the life of the diocesan community.
