The Dicastery for Clergy serves as the primary mediator between the Pope and the priests and deacons of our community. The Dicastery regularly presents the Holy Father with the needs and opinions of the clergy, who serve as the backbone of our mission. In addition, the Dicastery is responsible for ensuring proper conduct and behaviour of the clergy, and for processing petitions for an Apostolic Rescript from visiting clerics within the Vatican.
